How To Store Luggage

Oct 09, 2021

1. It is best to clean and take care of the bags to be stored during the season. Be sure to put clean fillers (such as shredded paper balls or cotton jerseys) in the bags to keep the shape of the bags before storage. Put the leather bag in the dust bag for storage.

2. The cabinet for storing luggage must be well ventilated, preferably a cloakroom or wardrobe with shutters, and it is best not to put too many items in the cabinet. If it is a humid environment, you can put a little moisture-proof bead in the bag.

3. If you accidentally get the bag wet, the correct way to deal with it should be to use a dry cloth to absorb the moisture on the bag, and then put it in a cool place to let it dry naturally. Never put a wet leather bag directly in the sun or blow it with a windpipe, nor place it next to an air conditioner, otherwise the leather will burst.

4. If you find stains on the luggage, don't wipe it yourself with chemical products. Different leather products have completely different treatment methods, and it is easy to damage the leather bag if you handle it yourself. It is best to get a professional leather maintenance organization for cleaning or repairing. Moreover, the natural oils and fats in the leather itself will gradually decrease over time or use too many times, so even very high-end leather goods need regular maintenance.
